LEGENDS NEVER DIE..
What started as an event activation idea for the 2018 Major League Baseball All Star Game in Washington, DC, quickly turned into a unique cultural arts venue, built from scratch, and played host to multiple community events and experiences, well produced programs and strategic promotional moments, and a dynamic non traditional location to host numerous groups and organizations just steps from Nationals Park Stadium and adjacent to Audi Field in Buzzard Point, Southwest, DC.
Sandlot DC is a multi-dimensional shipping container bar and event space with locations in Georgetown, Anacostia, Buzzard Point and an outpost in Tysons, Virginia. Our venues are reflections of each and every community that we launch in and the communities equally represent our culture and commerce that further impacts our creative economy. Our goal is often to reclaim vacant, abandoned, blighted and unused lots and convert them into active cultural facilities that welcome genuine community engagement through that very same creative economy that helps neighborhoods thrive.
“Big fan of the layout and appreciated the no-contact service. Ordering was easy to do with my phone and staff was helpful if folks had any difficulties. The outdoor layout is comfortable. The beverages were clearly made fresh and full of flavor - snacks were a hit too. I will certainly be riding my bike back and recommend it as a pit stop or meet up.”

“Went here for a MVMENT Event for DC Black Wine and Food and it was a pretty cool space. There is parking on the streets nearby. There is space to bring chairs for seating as well as picnic tables. There is a bar and a raised patio. They had food trucks and win booths to try out food. There was a concert with a DJ as well. There were views of the bridge and the Nationals Stadium nearby. Nice use of that pretty underdeveloped space. Easy to access as well.”

“Attended Sandlot Southeast on a Friday night. Great concept and beautiful location. Staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the concept of mixing drinks with fresh cold pressed juices. Highly recommend you check it out”

“Great place to stop through for an outdoor drink with friends, grab some food from local food trucks and pop-up kitchens (rotating schedule), and chill out to some great music! Love that their mission is to give minority-owned food vendors a venue to reach the community. Felt like a block party.”
